As a Wood CNC Team Lead, you will oversee the daily operations of the CNC machining team, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of wood components. This role requires understanding of CNC programming, machine operation, and team management. Previous Biesse and Mozaik experience a plus. European kitchen/cabinet design experience is highly desirable. This is a direct hire position working Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to operate panel saws, edge banders, press and routers. Setup, operate, program, troubleshoot CNC in the creation of wood cabinet components. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to read dimensions in fractions and decimals. Use precision measuring instruments. Read and interpret shop drawings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the CNC machining team, providing guidance and support.
- Program, setup, and operate CNC machines to produce wood components according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with CNC machines or production processes.
- Collaborate with the production manager to plan and schedule work orders.
- Train and mentor team members on CNC operations and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality control. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
