In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the fluctuating needs of a growing organization through process improvement initiatives and short- and long-term strategic planning of the Maintenance Organization. You will lead a maintenance team to support the material handling, facilities, and daily supply chain operations by utilizing processes and standard operating procedures in order to achieve financial and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a history of leading maintenance or engineering teams, and driving successful results in support of Supply Chain operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Performance & Process Optimization – Drive process improvements, monitor vendor performance and budgets, and ensure operational efficiency while balancing safety, cost, and downtime risks.

  • Facilities & Equipment Maintenance – Oversee comprehensive facility maintenance within budget, ensuring material handling systems, conveyors, and other equipment meet operational expectations.

  • Safety & Compliance – Ensure all operational areas adhere to company health and safety policies, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements.

  • Leadership & Team Development – Collaborate with leadership to develop talent, drive staffing strategies, and implement training and performance management programs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with HQ teams, vendors, and key stakeholders to execute initiatives, solve network-wide issues, and implement system changes.

  • Culture & Engagement – Foster a high-performance, guest-centric culture by coaching leaders, promoting best practices, and implementing action plans for associate engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Education – Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with a focus on controls.

  • Facilities & Equipment Expertise – Extensive experience managing material handling equipment, preventive maintenance programs, and facilities over 700,000 sq. ft.

  • Leadership & Budget Management – Proven ability to lead teams of engineers, managers, and hourly associates while overseeing operating budgets exceeding $5M and capital budgets over $5M.

  • Industrial Controls & Automation – At least five years of experience supporting, commissioning, and troubleshooting PLC/PC industrial control systems (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Square D) and industrial networks (DeviceNet, SDS, Profibus, Ethernet I/O).

  • Flexibility & Availability – Ability to adjust work schedules based on business needs, including working additional hours with little notice.

  • Multi-Site Support & Travel – Willingness to travel occasionally to other distribution centers within the network.
