- Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field or equivalent related experience. Professional Engineers with construction experience preferred.
- A minimum of 2 yrs. experience estimating and managing DOT, municipal and commercial projects or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Must have extensive knowledge of INDOT specifications, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project as well as digitizing takeoff software, familiarity with KYTC Specifications is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Maintains existing business relationships and creates new opportunities within our market.
- Responsible for takeoffs, contacting subcontractors, contacting suppliers, estimating, and project management.
- Works closely with field superintendents and Division Managers.
- Assists contract administrator with billing and receivables.
