As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of paving projects. It will be your responsibility to be actively involved in projects, from bidding to collection. You must understand all aspects of the project and offer assistance in the field when needed. Communication amongst all parties is vital to success. Communication includes verbal and non-verbal. Non-verbal communication includes paperwork given to the field. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field or equivalent related experience. Professional Engineers with construction experience preferred.
- A minimum of 2 yrs. experience estimating and managing DOT, municipal and commercial projects or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Must have extensive knowledge of INDOT specifications, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project as well as digitizing takeoff software, familiarity with KYTC Specifications is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
What you’ll do
- Maintains existing business relationships and creates new opportunities within our market.
- Responsible for takeoffs, contacting subcontractors, contacting suppliers, estimating, and project management.
- Works closely with field superintendents and Division Managers.
- Assists contract administrator with billing and receivables.
