As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical circuits, test equipment, specialized devices, electric motors, and manufacturing equipment. Depending on your work location, your duties may focus on construction and utility projects or supporting manufacturing equipment and processes.  

Requirements
  • You must have completed a formal apprenticeship OR have 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • An electrician in training must have 70% of the full skillset, typically at least 5 years’ experience.    
  • Must have knowledge of shop math and be able to read, interpret and work from blueprints.
  • Must have experience with Fanuc CNC Siemens CNC, and Allen Bradley PLC.
  • Troubleshooting experience, especially on PLC/CNC control systems.
  • Ability to utilize laptop or other advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Veterans with MOS experience maintaining and repairing complex control systems are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and Service Automation Equipment: Experience with diagnosing, servicing, and adjusting machine tools and automation, including PLC/CNC-based systems.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in electrical circuits and computer-controlled equipment.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing various electrical systems, including machinery power circuits, lighting circuits, and specialized electrical devices.
  • Instrument Calibration and Repair: Skills in installing, adjusting, calibrating, disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling a variety of electrical instruments.  
  • Use of Test Instruments: Competence in using test instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and megohmmeters.  
  • Knowledge of Electrical Code: Thorough understanding of current electrical codes and the ability to work from complex schematic and wiring diagrams.
