Service and Project Manager

As a Service and Project Manager, you will be tasked with managing the field service personnel who perform emergency and routine services including installation, maintenance, and repair. You will oversee the scheduling and training of field service representatives and perform all aspects of service on boilers and related equipment. Responsibilities also include handling service contracts, directing support services, and managing/organizing customer job projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage team daily activities and service projects.
- Work with team on customer proposals and budgetary requests.
- Organize and maintain fleet vehicles and tools.
- Review inventory sales and reports to maintain inventory.
- Setup training and events for internal team and external customers.
- Enter information and perform required tasks in database software.
- Serve customer accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating complaints, conducting tests, troubleshooting systems, resolving problems.
- Manage subcontractors on jobsite.
- Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Install equipment and/or parts at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Use machinery and chemicals to clean and maintain equipment.
- Maintain records of performance reports.
Requirements
- Experience supervising, managing and/or leading others.
- Customer service minded and professional.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude, intermediate/expert electrical, plumbing, and construction experience.
- Experience with boilers and related systems. Must be able to troubleshoot and work on equipment if needed.
- Must be able to travel from office throughout Indiana daily and work in varying locations.
- Must be able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The team member is frequently required to sit. The team member is occasionally required to taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The team member is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; explosives and vibration. The team member is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
