As the Director of Estimating you will play a crucial role in leading our estimating department, nation-wide, for complex mechanical construction projects ranging from $5M to $50M in direct-hire construction. You will lead a team of experienced professionals, work jointly with operations managers, area managers, business development, and the virtual design group.
Requirements –
- 10+ years of construction estimating experience, with at least several years of industrial piping.
- At least 2+ years managing a team.
- Experience in process development and workflow design a plus.
What You’ll Do –
- Lead and oversee team of estimators responsible developing accurate project estimates.
- Track post-bid analysis and internal metrics to identify areas of strength and improvement to facilitate a best-in-class win rate.
- Communicate effectively with necessary stakeholders throughout the estimating process.
- Develop scope and responsibility breakdowns and assign team members to successfully execute bids and manage workloads involving multiple bids at any given time.
- Incorporate benchmark data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost estimates.
- Ensure company safety standards, quality, and compliance programs are considered in estimation process.
