As a Civil Designer, Land Development you will Coordinate and value engineer design plans with other disciplines. You will w research and collect site specific due diligence to initiate the land development process. Finally, you will meet with customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Civil engineering with minimum of 3.0 GPA
- 1-3 years' of hands-on land development experience in a Engineering Firm
- EIT-preferred with intention of taking PE
- Computer skills: experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
What You’ll Do
- Attend meetings with Design/Build professionals and clients to understand project requirements
- Design and draft land development plans for multifamily residential, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and industrial projects
- Review outside drawings and reports to assist Project Management team
- Perform site investigative due diligence and work with contracting team to value engineer sites
- Prepare schematic site plan, grading & utility plans to illustrate site developability based on site constraints
- Perform storm water detention analysis, site utility design, and earth work analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability
