As the Accountant, you will have the opportunity to track time and attendance daily and work with division leads to ensure time sheet accuracy. You will manage insurance policies including filing workers’ compensation insurance monthly. The successful candidate will record and maintain invoices and credit card expenses, ensuring job costing accuracy.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations. The accountant will work closely with the finance team to prepare financial statements, track company expenses, and maintain efficient accounting systems. This role is essential for supporting the financial health of both businesses.

•    Perform reconciliations of bank statement and credit cards.
•    Ensuring accuracy in job costing, hours, deductions, and benefits.
•    Reconcile benefit deductions with the benefit provider to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
•    Provide support for time and attendance issues.
•    Manage fuel cards for field employees.
•    Provide backup support for HR Manager, including processing payroll and maintaining employee records
•    Assist finance team with finance and HR duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•    Previous experience as an accountant ideally in the construction industry
•    Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
•    Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
•    Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online, and payroll systems.
