- HVAC System Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and optimize HVAC systems for commercial buildings to ensure maximum efficiency and performance.
- Load Calculations and Energy Modeling: Conduct detailed load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing to meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with local codes, regulations, and Waldrop’s high standards for quality and safety.
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure longevity and functionality, and troubleshoot HVAC issues, proposing sustainable solutions when needed.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to coordinate project details, ensuring timely and successful project completion.
- Industry Knowledge and Compliance: Stay informed about advancements in HVAC technology, energy efficiency practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and implement best practices in system design and maintenance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering, particularly focused on commercial facilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP) and AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and energy-efficiency principles.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to resolving HVAC issues.
- Team-Oriented: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
