As a Level III Machinist you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce a variety of precision metal parts working from complex engineering drawings/diagrams and instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a job shop environment demonstrating proficiency in operating all manual machine tools such as lathes, 3 and 5 axis mills.
- Proficient in Mastercam 2020. Experience programming offline.
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, and machining parameters.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and quality standards as it applies to an aerospace and defense environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals driven by metrics.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
