The Energy Marshal is responsible for managing the Energy Marshal program, overseeing both permanent and temporary energy sources. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient management of electrical systems within data center environments.
- Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints, particularly one-line drawings.
- Familiarity with diverse power redundancy levels and major electrical equipment used in data center construction (e.g., Electrical Switchgear (MV & LV), Transformers (MV & LV), Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, Generators, Power Distribution Units, etc.).
- Prepare, review, submit, and close out detailed Methods of Procedure (MOPs) outlining safe equipment energization steps.
- Conduct equipment energizations with a focus on safety and operational integrity.
- Manage the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program effectively.
- Coordinate activities with the General Contractor and Owner's representatives as required.
- Advanced electrical knowledge is essential.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the electrical industry, with journeyman and supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.
- NFPA 70E certification is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and PDF editing programs (e.g., Bluebeam, Adobe) is necessary.
